Music Review: globe / new deal
1. new deal
2. Please Please Please
3. Hey Say Hey Yeah!
4. ALL HOPE
5. Soldier(LA Session Version)
I think I've grown out of globe, or maybe more precisely, I've become tired of Keiko's vocals. globe's latest mini album, new deal, completely fails to enrapture me. In fact, the songs make me want to banish Keiko's voice from my poor bleeding ears forever.
The music is pretty much typical globe. It's nothing spectacular, because it sounds the same as their previous work (same type of dance music). Keiko's vocals though, man, it's gotten old. Not only has her voice gotten old, it has also begun to truly irritate me. It harrasses my nerves and gnaws away my patience. If I ever want to be in a bad mood quickly, I'd just pick up this album and listen to the songs. Yes, it has that bad of an effect on me. I'd bash my brains out if Keiko wails about "showing her the new deal" one more time.
It's unfortunate that my musical taste has changed so much that I can't even tolerate globe anymore. This album has convinced me that it really is time for me to move on. This shall be the last globe music I listen to, until the day Keiko no longer sings for the group (which is unlikely).
