New York City Fun

Well, according to the manager's blog, Gazette is now in New York for making the upcoming album! From the photo posted in the entry, it looks like they're in the Downtown West vicinity, probably the TriBeCa or Chelsea neighborhoods. Anyone would like to go Gazette stalking? (I'm kidding!)

I'm flying in to NYC this weekend. It feels like coming home; it's been a long time. I'll be hitting the Met, Battery Park, and of course, Chinatown among other old favorite haunts when I was a teenager roaming the streets. Mmmm... green tea ice cream. I miss the Ice Cream Factory in Chinatown. And let me see if I can still find my old New York City Public Library library card. *is a nerd*

Of course, there's also window shopping. I have a feeling that I'll be doing this a lot since I'll be staying right on Fifth Avenue this summer. :D or is it D:?

I still don't get it why NY, but it's their choice.
I think it would be much easier if they've done the mastering in Japan.

Bands go all over for recording/mastering. They most likely are going to New York to work with US mastering engineers and their equipment. If you record, mix, and master a work at one studio (or several) as opposed to others, it's going to have a different sound. Now that gazette has a much larger name and budget than a few years ago, they are working with different people in the industry. It's only a good thing.

Also betting they're going to the Dir concert, lol.

Going to the Deg concert? Haha, I wish. Except there are 2 dates and they aren't until next weekend. Gazette may not stay that long in NYC.

It would be really funny seeing Gazette on a Dir en grey concert. It would actually be a good experience for them to see how the "gods of J-rock" play and make music (maybe a good influence :D).

I wish I could go on a Diru concert. The only one in my near is the one in August in Munich. my parents won't probably let me go there -3-.
